Support for Jobseekers with Disabilities
If you are ready for work but need support to find or stay in a job, we are here to help. Our services are tailored to your goals, strengths and needs.
Job Seekers
- Age 18-65
- Have a recognised disability, or health condition (does not have to be a formal diagnosis)
- Be job ready
- Be able to work 8+ hours per week
- Be available for meetings
- Have access to transport to get to work
- Speak to your local INTREO Case Officer about getting referred.
- Contact our office and we can have an informal chat about what supports we offer and how we can help.
Once we receive the referral form, you will be placed onto our waiting list until a job coach becomes available. Jobseekers do not need to be in receipt of a social welfare payment to avail of our service. Support is available for a duration of up to 12 months.
Our service is designed to build your confidence, identify the right opportunities, and support you every step of the way into meaningful employment.
- Getting Started
We begin with a friendly introduction to the service and what you can expect. You’ll complete any necessary forms and consent requirements, and we’ll discuss your current supports, including welfare payments. We’ll also confirm your eligibility and guide you through any referrals if needed.
- Understanding Your Needs
Together, we’ll explore any barriers that may be affecting your employment journey. This includes looking at areas such as health, wellbeing, transport, and workplace needs. We’ll work with you to identify practical solutions and supports tailored to your situation.
- Career Planning & Profiling
We’ll work with you to identify your strengths, skills, and interests. Together, we’ll explore suitable career options and match you with roles that align with your goals. You’ll also be supported to:
- Identify relevant training opportunities
- Develop a strong CV and references
- Create your personalised Employment Plan
- Finding The Right Job
We actively support you in searching and applying for jobs. This includes interview preparation, connecting with employers, and matching you to suitable opportunities. We also provide guidance on workplace integration and how to approach disclosure, if relevant.
- Starting Work & Ongoing Support
Once you begin employment, we continue to support you with mentoring and on-the-job guidance. We can also assist your employer, including advice on available supports and grants. Regular check-ins ensure everything is progressing positively.
- Moving Towards Independance
As you become more confident in your role, our support gradually steps back.
